Mix Tape Sarah's Side B

Hey Blog Readers,

As previously explained by Melinda, we are two ladies living in the Midwest attempting to inspire change and creativity in our hometown.  I am engaged and preparing to move to Milwaukee hoping that my passion will continue in the future endeavors. I am very excited about this blog, and hope you are too! Please leave comments, share your mixes and let us know you thoughts and reactions.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Now Side B....

These too are in no particular order, but has an emotional attachment to some random moment in my past 30 years.

10.  Mexico by James Taylor
This is one of my favorite places and a happy song that just takes me to that relaxing moment and fun memories.

9.  Call me Maybe  by Carly Rae Jepson
Okay it is totally my guilty pleasure song, and yes it gets old at times, but it instantly makes me smile, sing and dance.  I may even throw in some Harvard Baseball moves too.  "Hey I just met you..."

8. The Rebound by Tristen Prettyman
Totally love this song. She is fresh from California, used to be engaged to Jason Mraz, and her entire album is awesome.  Plus, she has this great cover of Britney Spears's "Toxic" that just makes me giddy! Great artist, and this song is every girl fantasy about a hook up with the hot guy from the grocery store. Yummy!

7. Devil Went down to Georgia  by Charlie Daniels or Zac Brown Band
Sadly, I know every word to this song, I fell in love with it while becoming obsessed with Coyote Ugly (Don't Judge). I love the song for the dramatics and energy.  It is hard to beat a fiddle.

6. Crush by Dave Matthews Band
This is a bit cliche' but I love this band, I have since high school and this has been one of my favorite songs since then as well.  This song reminds me of love and a great wine!

5. You and I by Lady Gaga
This song is great, Lady Gaga is great, and she talks about Nebraska which is great.  I love a song that appreciates a state in the middle of nowhere. I may not love everything about this state, but I do enjoy it in this song.

4. Don't Stop Believing by Journey
NUFF SAID!

3. Loser by the Glee Cast
I am a total Gleek, so be prepared to see cheesy high school on this mix tapes.  Since I am a High school Teacher, I find in those little moments on Glee when art imitates life and you pretty much have a theme songs that go along with it.  This was one of those moments.

2. The Elephant Medley Love song from Moulin Rouge
This is still one of my favorite movies and I adore this song! It is a mini mix tape of cheesy love songs, sung on a rooftop with a moon harmonizing.  Totally beats "My Heart Will Go On"

1.  No Diggity No Doubt by Blackstreet
A stellar and smooth song from my younger years.  No Diggity No Doubt.

Maybe these songs will inspire you, maybe you will tell us a little about you and what we need to know about your mix tape! Either way, leave a comment and tell us about yourself!
